ACADEMIC INTERVENTIONIST

Mrs. Relano joined Jefferson Elementary in 2017. She holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Arkansas - Little Rock and earned her National Board Certification in 2008, then re-certified in November 2018. Mrs. Relano served as the Instructional Math Facilitator and the Instructional Technology Coordinator at Terry Elementary before joining the Jefferson Team. She has taught for 22 years in the LRSD. 

Her birthday is August 27. Her favorite restaurants are ZaZa’s, Buffalo Grill, Heights Taco and Tamale, Starbucks, and YaYa’s. For treats, Ms. Relano likes Starbucks coffee, Dr. Pepper, and chocolate! Gift card ideas for Mrs. Relano include, Target and Amazon. She loves to exercise, enjoys being outside with her family, and reading.

READING INTERVENTIONIST

Ms. McMath has a Master's in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma City University, a K-12 Gifted and Talented Certification from UALR, a Dyslexia Therapist certification from UALR and is a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. She came to Jefferson in 2010.
 

Ms. McMath's birthday is May 10, and she loves to eat anywhere with Mexican food and Pizza Cafe. She likes coffee, and anything sweet! 

She has two daughters. Sophie is in 7th grade, and Anabelle is in 9th grade. She has a sweet little dog named Coco and loves to travel. Her favorite thing about Jefferson is that our school is a small neighborhood school that has an amazing PTA!
 

NURSE

Mrs. Custer graduated from Baptist Health School of Nursing in 2012 and has worked as a Registered Nurse ever since - in everything from Home Health to the ICU. Before nursing school, she attended UCA and graduated from Conway High. 

Outside of school, she is a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor in Maumelle, and she loves spending time with her family, working out, reading, and playing Mahjong and cards with friends. She and her husband Jordan have two daughters - one 18 and one 4! She's most excited about joining a school community that feels like family!

INSTRUCTIONAL FACILITATOR

Ms. Sims joined the Jefferson Patriots in August of 2022. She has her B.S.E. from Arkansas State University, a master's in Education from UALR and a master's in Communications from Arkansas State University. Before joining the Jefferson family, as their instructional facilitator, she taught in the classroom at Gibbs Magnet for 12 years. She also supervised teachers of interns and field students for UALR. 

Ms. Sims’ birthday is April 12. She loves to eat anywhere with Mexican food. Some of her favorite restaurants are Taziki's, Subway, Star of India and Baja Grill. She also enjoys a good cup of coffee, chai tea or anything with chocolate and caramel.

Ms. Sims enjoys cooking, trying new foods and spending time with family and friends. Recommended gift cards are Target or Amazon.
