GRADES K - 2

   Mrs. Lauer teaches kindergarten through second grade special  education. Mrs. Lauer has a Bachelor's degree in psychology from UCA and a  Master's degree in special education. 

Her birthday is November 6, and she enjoys dining at Ya Yas,  Sonic and  Chik-Fil-A. For sweet treats, she likes Unsweet Tea with lemon and chocolate chip  cookies. Gift card recommendations are Amazon. 
 

She enjoys playing tennis, watching movies, reading, and spending time  with her husband, daughters, three black labs, Pam, Erin & Melody  and cat Louie. 

She has been married for 24 years to her husband, Brent and has two daughters.  She has  3 black labs (Pam, Melody, and Erin) and 4 cats (Georgie, Harley, Charlotte and Allie).  She like to play tennis, watch college football, spend time with family, and shop in her free time.

Ms. Cazort has a degree in Collaborative Education from Birmingham - Southern College and a masters in curriculum design from Boston College. She joined Jefferson in 2018. 

Her birthday is October 5th, and she likes to dine at Mizuki, The Oyster Bar and The Root. For sweet treats, Ms. Cazort enjoys gluten-free chocolate anything. She also likes coffee, flavored water and sweet tea. A gift card idea is to any local store like Moxy or Paper Hearts Bookstore. 

Ms. Cazort enjoys reading, playing and coaching volleyball, going out to eat with friends and family and spending time with her three dogs Emma, Dolly and Ruby.

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Mrs. Edwards has a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Central Arkansas. She has been a speech-language pathologist for 27 years. She has been with the Little Rock School District since 2013 and came to Jefferson in 2015.

Her favorite restaurants are Kemuri, Pantry Crest, and Cheers. She enjoys anything chocolate, white cupcakes and Diet Dr. Pepper.

Mrs. Edwards has two children and a dog named Peanut. She enjoys playing tennis, hiking, camping, and reading.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Ms. Simpson is our wonderful occupational therapist. She has been at Jefferson since 2008. 

Ms. Simpson's birthday is July 2. Her favorite restaurants are Buffalo Grill, Faded Rose and Chik-fil-A. Her favorite treats are Dr. Pepper, Kit Kat, Snickers, and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

She enjoys spending time with her family, especially at the lake. She has two daughters, one at Mount and one at U of A , and two very spoiled dogs! She also enjoy going to the gym, and  new hobbies of pickleball and tennis!
